RCC holds BMDF project consultation

A consultation meeting was held regarding the feasibility study of a new project proposed for Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC), with financial assistance from the Bangladesh Municipal Development Fund (BMDF).

The meeting was held in the conference hall at Nagar Bhaban on Saturday. RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton attended the meeting as the chief guest, reports BSS.

Speaking at the meeting, RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman said, “Rajshahi City Corporation is an institution for citizen services.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has entrusted me with this responsibility with trust and confidence to ensure citizen services. I am working to ensure urban development and citizen services.”

Among others present at the meeting were Md. Khalilur Rahman, Joint Secretary of the Local Government Division and Managing Director of BMDF, along with other representatives of BMDF.

The consultation meeting was also attended by RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, Superintending Engineer of Rajshahi Roads and Highways Department Ahsan Uddin Ahmed, RCC Secretary Sohel Rana, Superintending Engineer Khairul Baker, Chief Conservancy Officer Sheikh Mamun Dollar and concerned officials.

BMDF’s Urban Development Specialist Ahmad Zaman Tarik presented the overall activities of the project.
