Over 125,000 Iranian civilian sites damaged: Red Crescent
More than 125,000 civilian sites have been damaged across Iran in attacks by the United States and Israel, according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society.
Pirhossein Kolivand, head of the organisation, said a total of 125,630 civilian units were hit during the strikes, the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency reported.
Among the damaged sites, 23,500 were commercial centres and business establishments, highlighting the significant economic impact of the attacks.
Kolivand also said 339 medical facilities were affected, including hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, health centres and emergency rooms, raising concerns over the strain on Iran’s healthcare system amid the ongoing conflict.
The figures provide one of the most detailed official assessments so far of the scale of damage to civilian infrastructure since the escalation of hostilities.
