Khulna 3rd APBn launches special cleanliness drive

The drive was organised as part of the government’s nationwide dengue prevention and cleanliness campaign. M M Salahuddin, additional deputy inspector general and commanding officer of 3rd APBn, inaugurated the programme.

As part of the campaign, officers and members carried out extensive cleaning operations inside the battalion headquarters and surrounding areas. They also identified potential mosquito breeding grounds and removed stagnant water and waste to prevent the spread of Aedes mosquitoes.

Particular emphasis was placed on cleaning drains, water tanks and containers and keeping them covered, as well as removing abandoned and unnecessary items from the premises. Awareness activities were also conducted among officers, members and others involved in the programme, with instructions on preventing dengue and maintaining a clean environment.
