‘Step for renaissance of Mohammedan to be held soon’

The newly elected Governing Council of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited organised a discussion at the premises of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in the capital’s Motijheel on Tuesday.
Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives and Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, MP, was the chief guest, while President of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Barkat Ullah Bulu, MP, presided over the programme.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP, Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation Abdus Salam, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Adviser to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and the newly elected Directors of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited were present, among others.
A good number of sportsmen and sportswomen and journalists were also present on the occasion.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, ” I am lucky that I come in this programme. I am a supporter of this traditional out-fit.
I am thanking to the newly elected Governing Council of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited that they will bring Mohammedan towards the success by their effort of potential leadership.
I hope a renaissance of Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will be happened by the capable leadership of the newly elected Governing Council of Mohammedan.
Our Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has arranged the monthly salary for the athletes which will be helped them to take the sports as a profession.”
Barkat Ullah Bulu said, ” Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman had started a sports institute for the athletes.
It is Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP), which has presented a lot of good athletes in every sector.
BKSP has produced a good number of cricketers, who have represented the country in the world cricket and bring honour for the country.
I hope Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will act for the renaissance of their heritage and tradition.”
Aminul Haque said, ” The Ministry of Youth and Sports will increase the salary for the athletes from 129 to 500 soon.
Our sports lover Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has assured us that he will give all sorts of cooperation to bring our all sports events in world stage.”
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, ” A great actor of Bangladesh supported Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited which inspired me.
From 1978 I started to support Dhaka Mohammedan specially in football competitions.
I hope Mohammedan will regain their fame soon under the leadership of newly elected Governing Council of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited.”
Abdus Salam said, ” Though I am the President of Dhaka Wanderers Club Limited but I am a supporter of Dhaka Mohammedan.
When Mohammedan have become champions in football competitions or cricket competitions, I feel really good.
I expect the success of leadership of our new State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque.”
