BCB announces BD squad for Pakistan ODIs

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Thursday the 15-member Bangladesh Cricket squad for the upcoming three-match One Day International (ODI) series against Pakistan.

Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in the first ODI on March 11, the Tigers will face Pakistan in the second ODI on March 13 and Bangladesh will meet Pakistan in the third ODI on March 15. All the matches will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur. The games will kick-off at 2:15pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).

Notable omissions from the squad that played in the last ODI series in October 2025 against the West Indies are batters Quazi Nurul Hasan Sohan, Jaker Ali Anik and Shamim Hossain.

Pacer Hasan Mahmud is currently nursing a right tennis elbow while fellow fast bowler Tanzim Hasan is recovering from back pain. Both bowlers are unavailable for the series but are expected to regain full fitness by the end of the month.

The cricketers, who have been chosen for the three ODIs against Pakistan, are: Mehidy Hasan Miraz (Captain), Soumya Sarkar, Saif Hassan, Tanzid Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Tawhid Hridoy, Litton Das, Afif Hossain, Mahidul Islam, Rishad Hossain, Tanvir Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam and Nahid Rana.
