Social media feel like a dustbin: Jaya Ahsan

Jaya Ahsan wants to reach all Bengalis around the world-not only those in Bangladesh or West Bengal, but every Bengali scattered across the globe-as a Bengali artist. She believes that the hostility created among some sections of people in both Bengals is temporary. According to her, the negativity seen in the virtual world does not reflect reality. Jaya says that only a handful of people spread hatred on social media. “To me, social media feels like a dustbin,” she remarks. “But when I come to Kolkata, the love I receive is real. My films are being released, and I receive so much love in the comments. I don’t encounter that hatred there.”
