Bangladesh blank Bhutan in SAFF U-19 Women’s Champ

Bangladesh Under-19 Women’s Football team blanked Bhutan Under-19 Women’s Football team 14-0 in their opening match of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-19 Women’s Championship at Pokhara Rangasala Stadium in Nepal on Saturday. Bangladesh women totally dominated Bhutan women and attained their massive victory.
Munki Akhter scored four goals with a hat-trick, Alpi Akter hit a hat-trick, Trishna Rani struck a hat-trick and Mamoni Chakma and Captain Arpita Biswas scored one goal each.
Bangladesh women had a 4-0 lead in the first half.
Mamoni Chakma opened the flood gate by scoring a goal in the 28th minute of the play.
Trishna Rani doubled the margin in the 43rd minute of the game. Munki Akhter increased the tally into 3-0 in the 44th minute of the game. Munki Akhter scored her second goal in the injury time in the first half. After the lemon-break, Trishna Rani made it 5-0 in the 54th minute of the clash. Trishna Rani fulfilled her hat-trick in the 60th minute of the game. Alpi Akter opened her account in the 73rd minute of the match. Munki Akhter fulfilled her hat-trick in the 81st minute of the game.
Alpi Akter made it 9-0 in the 86th minute of the play.
Munki Akhter scored her fourth goal in the third minute of the injury time of the second half. Captain Arpita Biswas increased the tally into 11-0 in the fourth minute of the injury time of the second half. Alpi Akter fulfilled her hat-trick and also sealed the fate of the match in the fifth minute of the injury time of the second half. Bangladesh will take on India in their second match at the same venue on February 2. Bangladesh will face off Nepal in their third match at the same venue on February 4. A total of four team are taking the SAFF Under-19 Women’s Championship. They are: hosts Nepal, Bhutan and India.
The first phase of the tournament was held on single league basis. The two highest taker teams will get the tickets of the final. The final will be held the same venue on February 7.
