3 held in RAB murder case

A case has been filed naming 29 people over the killing of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) member Abdul Motaleb, who was attacked during an operation in Jungle Salimpur.
A RAB-7 official of deputy assistant director (DAD) rank filed the case at Sitakunda Police Station shortly after midnight on Wednesday. Sitakunda Police Station chief (OC) Mohinul Islam told bdnews24.com that 29 people have been named in the case, along with 150 to 200 unidentified suspects, reports bdnews24.com.
He said a man named Yasin has been made the prime suspects in the case, reports bdnews24.com.
At least three people have already been arrested in connection with the incident-two of them named in the FIR and one detained on suspicion, OC Mohinul said.
RAB-7 member Motaleb was killed while three other RAB personnel were injured when they came under attack by “local criminals” while conducting an operation in Jungle Salimpur in Sitakunda Upazila on Monday evening.
Motaleb was serving as a deputy assistant director of RAB-7.
