Lawyer murder case, charges framed against 39 people including Chinmoy Krishna

A court has framed charges against 39 accused including Sanatani Jagran Jote spokesperson Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari in the murder case of Chattogram District Bar Association member Advocate Saiful Islam Alif at the city’s Kotwali Police Station.

Chattogram Dhruto Bechar Tribunal Judge Md. Zahidul Haque framed the charges on Monday. At that time, 23 accused including Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari were present in the tribunal.

Chattogram District Bar Association President Advocate Abdus Sattar said that charges have been framed against 39 accused including Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari in the murder case of Advocate Saiful Islam Alif.
At that time, a lawyer for Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari was present in the tribunal.

There was a lawyer for the 16 absconding accused. The Legal Aid Office will appoint lawyers for the 22 accused in the case at a later date. The next date has been set for February 2. Sixteen accused in the case are still absconding.
