Let me live: Neha says indicating she was leaving everything behind

Popular Indian singer Neha Kakkar on Monday increased the curiosity of her fans by sharing some mysterious stories on Instagram, which has created confusion among her fans.

She said that she is taking a break from her personal and professional life for some time.

The artiste even mentioned the uncertainty about whether she will return at all. However, Neha deleted them within a few minutes of posting!

In the first story, Neha wrote, “It’s time to take a break from everything that’s on my mind right now, including responsibilities, relationships, work.

I don’t know if I’ll be back or not. Thank you.”

In the next story, she made a request to the paparazzi and fans, writing, “I request the paparazzi and fans not to videotape me.

Please respect my personal privacy and let me live freely in this world. No cameras, please! That’s all I ask of you for peace.”

It is not yet clear why Neha posted such an emotional post. Many believe that the recent online trolling over her new song ‘Candy Shop’ may have caused this mental stress.

Neha Kakkar’s brother Tony Kakkar accompanied her on the song ‘Candy Shop’, which was released on December 15. The song was widely criticised on social media after its release.

Many criticised the song as ‘cringe’, ‘obscene’ and a failed attempt to copy international pop – especially K-pop – styles.

This is not the first time. In early 2025, Neha Kakkar broke down in tears on stage after arriving late for a concert in Melbourne, Australia. She could not handle the situation when she was booed by the audience. Although she later blamed the organisers.

Neha Kakkar gained popularity through several hit songs like ‘Aankh Mare’, ‘Dilbar’, ‘Hauli Hauli’, ‘Morni Banke’.

Currently, she is serving as a judge in various music-based reality shows. However, Neha’s sudden mysterious post and its deletion have raised concerns among fans.
