ACC raids BRUR over fake certificate allegations

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has conducted a raid at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR), following allegations that jobs were obtained using fake certificates.

An ACC team visited the university on Sunday and examined issues related to the allegations.

Belal Hossain, Assistant Director of the ACC’s Rangpur Integrated District Office, said the team came to investigate allegations of university officials and employees securing jobs with forged certificates, following instructions from the Commission. “Preliminary findings suggest that the master’s degree certificate of Ms Irina Nahar, who is serving as a Physical Instructor in the Department of Physical Education, is fake.
