Rafsan’s ex-wife Esha breaks silence

Ending long-standing rumours and fan speculation, popular presenter and content creator Rafsan Sabab and musician Xefer Rahman have tied the knot.

The love of this star couple, known as an ‘open secret’, has now taken the form of marriage.

Meanwhile, Rafsan’s first wife, doctor Shania Shamsun Esha, broke her silence two days after her ex-husband’s wedding.

In a post on social media, Esha, without mentioning her name, said that she wants to leave her past identity behind and move forward with her career and identity.

Esha said, “Every person in Bangladesh knows what is happening now and what the truth is.

I don’t think I need to say much more about it. At this stage in my life, I don’t want to think about or get involved in anyone else’s personal life. I have been through a very difficult time myself.

I have endured a lot, overcome deep emotional trauma, and worked tirelessly to rise from that position and achieve something for myself.

The love and support I have received throughout this journey, from both close friends and strangers, has touched me deeply.

I will forever be grateful for every well-wisher and encouragement, whether from near or far,” and she adding, “Right now, my entire focus is on my life and my career.

I want to build something for myself that won’t abandon me in difficult times, or leave me helpless in the face of adversity.

I no longer want to carry my past identity, nor do I want to be questioned by conflating my name with someone I knew before.

I want my identity to be just one, ‘Dr Esha,’ a name, an identity-one I can stand by with pride.”
