Habib’s song with lyrics by Alik

Film director SA Haque Alik and popular musician Habib Wahid met during making of movie ‘Hridoyer Kotha’.

Habib’s song ‘Bhalobasbo Basbo Re Bondhu Tomay Jotone’ sung by Habib in this movie became popular.

After that, Habib sang in almost all of Alik’s movies. Not only that, he also lent his voice to many songs written by Alik.

Among the popular songs of this duo are ‘Prithibir Joto Sukh Joto Bhalobasa’, ‘Bolo Keno Emon Hoy’, ‘Jotsna Kotha Bolo Na’ etc.

Habib last sang a song written by SA Haque Alik in movie ‘Golui’ in 2022. Zareen sang with Habib in the song titled ‘Jombe Mela’. Habib also composed the tunes and arranged the music.

The director of this government-funded movie is Alik. Habib sang a solo song written by Alik for an album outside the movie 17 years ago in the album ‘Obosheshe’ released in 2008.

Almost a decade and a half after that song, Alik wrote a song for Habib again outside the movie. The song titled ‘Piriti Shikhaili’ will be released on Habib’s YouTube channel.

Apart from giving voice, Habib has also arranged tune and music of the song ‘Piriti Shikhaili’.

About the new song, Alik said, “After many years, a song was written for Habib outside of cinema.

The last one was written in one of Habib’s albums in 2008. After all these years, an audio song written by me in Habib’s voice is being released again. I like the tune and music arrangement of the song.”

Last September, Alik announced on social media that he is writing four new songs for Habib.

One of which is a duet and the remaining three are Habib’s solos. The releasing process of songs is starting with ‘Piriti Shikhaili’.

Habib regularly releases songs on his YouTube channel. In that vein, he has released the new song from his own channel.
