Two arrested in separate Khulna DB raids

KHULNA: DB in separate raids arrests two men in the city on Saturday with 100 yaba tablets, Tk 4,800 allegedly earned from drug sales and counterfeit banknotes worth Tk 88,000.

Two men were arrested with 100 yaba tablets, cash allegedly earned from drug sales and counterfeit banknotes worth Tk 88,000 in separate raids conducted by the Detective Branch (DB) of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) on Saturday.

According to police, a DB team conducted a raid in front of Baitul Mamur Jame Mosque on Hospital Road in the Tultala area of Tootpara under Khulna Sadar Police Station at around 11:20pm on September 19.
The team arrested Md Manik Sheikh, 28, a resident of the Wapda area in Rupsha Natun Bazar. Police said they seized 100 yaba tablets, Tk 4,800 allegedly earned from drug sales and a 150cc old Pulsar motorcycle
