Director Maruf Hossain Sajib suddenly dies

Small screen director and playwright Maruf Hossain Sajib died in the capital’s Uttara after suffering from heart-related complications on early Tuesday.

He was 40. Sajib was suffering from heart-related problems and receiving treatment, said Television Playwrights’ Association president Shihab Shaheen, adding that Sajib’s health condition deteriorated on Tuesday and he breathed his last at about 5:00am.

He was buried at Uttara graveyard following a namaz-e-janaza after zuhr prayers, he added.

His sudden death shocked the small screen industry directors, playwrights, actors and actresses prompting them to express condolences on their respective social media handles.
