It’s not unusual to have money: Kushum’s reply on ‘sugar daddy’ querry
Entertainment Report :
Seeing the glamorous lives of showbiz stars, especially heroines, many people assume that there must be a man behind their financial prosperity; the so-called ‘sugar daddy’.
This idea has been prevalent in society for a long time. When a woman lives well on her own income, the credit is often given to someone else. This is why heroines or actresses often face uncomfortable questions. Actress Kushum Sikder is also on that list.
Recently, while talking about her personal life and media rumours on a television show, the actress was asked such a question.
The host asked her directly, “Do you want to be a sugar mummy?”
Kushum jokingly said, “Oh my Allah! In an interview, I was asked – do I have many sugar daddies! Or do I have a godfather, or was one? At that time, I was a little annoyed but laughed and said, is there still time for sugar daddies? Now is the time to be a sugar mummy!”
Explaining her position on this matter, she said, “These are very stupid things. Those who don’t know, they say this; those who have seen me recently, during the promotion of film ‘Shoroter Joba’.
They may have seen my clothes, jewellery, and watch and wondered where all this money came from? That’s when I guessed, there must be someone helping!”
Kushum said that he has been working in showbiz for more than two decades.
In this regard, she said, “I have been in the media for 23 to 25 years. I have been earning since I was 21 years old. After working for so many years, it is normal to have some money. On the contrary, it is abnormal not to have any.”
