Two held with nine firearms

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two individuals with nine firearms in Noapara area of Raozan upazila in the district on Thursday.

Being informed, a team of RAB-7, led by Commander Lieutenant Colonel Md. Hafizur Rahman, conducted a raid at the residence of Noapara Union Parishad’s chairman Khayez Ahmed and seized three single-barrel guns, six one-shooter guns, five Chinese axes, one sword, five ramdas, chocolate bombs, and a large amount of domestic weapons and various tools for making weapons.

The arrested are Kamal Uddin, 51, and Sohel Ahmed, 45, residents of Khayez Ahmed’s house in Noapara Union.

Further legal actions will be taken in this regard, Commander Lieutenant Colonel Md. Hafizur Rahman said.
