Dy Secy of Edu Ministry killed in road accident

Dr. Farhad Hossain, Deputy Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education (Private University-1) was killed in a road accident in Muladi upazila of Barishal district on Friday.
Farhad Hossain, was the son of Maulana Abdul Kader from Char Lakshipur area of Muladi Sadar Union in his village.
The accident occurred at around4:15 pm on Friday (December 6) in the area adjacent to Peyadarhat in Muladi Upazila, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the police station, Zahirul Alam.
OC said that the deceased Dr. Farhad Hossainleft for Muladi Sadar from Mirganj Ferry Ghat on Friday afternoon as a passenger in a three-wheeler.
Citing the injured passengers, the OC said that when the three-wheeler (Mahindra Alpha) crossed Peyadarhat and reached near the Howladar Bridge, a dog suddenly came in front of it.
When the driver suddenly braked, the three-wheeler lost control and overturned.
The OC said that the Mahindra overturned on the side where Farhad Hossain was sitting. As a result, Farhad Hossain received serious head injuries.
He was rescued and taken to a local hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Meanwhile, the three-wheeler driver and other passengers were not seriously injured in the accident, according to the police.
Muladi Upazila Health Officer Dr. Saidur Rahman said that Dr. Farhad Hossain died before reaching the hospital. Meanwhile, Charlaxhipur Nandir Bazar Mahfil Organizing Committee member Zainul Abedin said that Dr. Farhad was the chief guest at the Mahfil held in Nandir Bazar on Friday.
He was coming to Charlaxhipur from Dhaka to participate in it.
