Barishal take on Comilla in final of BPL Cricket today

Fortune Barishal will take on Comilla Victorians in the final of the Ispahani Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur today. Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal will lead Fortune Barishal as the captain, while prolific wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das will lead Comilla Victorians as the skipper.The gala final will start at 6:30pm. Private satellite channel GTV and private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the arena.
Fortune Barishal moved into the final crushing Rangpur Riders by six wickets in the second Qualifier at the same venue on Wednesday last. By virtue of Wednesday’s defeat, Rangpur Riders were out of the title race.
Earlier, Fortune Barishal reached the second Qualifier defeating Chattogram Challengers by seven wickets in the Eliminator phase at the same venue on February 26. Chattogram Challengers were ousted from the tournament.
On the other hand, Comilla Victorians stormed into the final thrashing Rangpur Riders by six wicket in the first Qualifier at the same venue on the same day.
Those four teams could reach the play-off stage.
Rangpur Riders led the points table bagging 18 points from 12 matches, while Comilla Victorians took the second position grabbing 16 points from as many outings.
Fortune Barishal took the third position collecting 14 points from 12 matches, while Chattogram Challengers took the fourth spot earning 14 points from as many outings.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the price of the ticket for the final match of the BPL Cricket today with a fan needing at least Taka 300 to watch who will clinch the crown of the Ispahani BPL Cricket.
The maximum price of the ticket is Taka 2000, which will give a fan a seat in the Grand Stand. The VIP stand ticket price is Taka 1500, Club House Taka 800, North and South Stand Taka 400 and Eastern Stand Taka 300.
Comilla emerged as the champions in the BPL Cricket for four times, while Barishal became runners-up for three times.
