Mother held for drowning kids to death

A mother named Rima Begum has been accused of drowning her 3-year-old twin sons in water in Kulaura Upazila of Moulvibazar. This incident took place in Uttarbhag village of Baramchal union of the upazila in the late night of Saturday. The names of the two children killed are Radian Ahmad (3) and Rayyan Ahmad (3).
Former chairman of Baramchal Union Parishad Ishaq Chowdhury Imran said that Rima Begum, wife of Bachchu Mia, a resident of Uttarbhag village, was mentally unbalanced. Swami Bachchu Mia did not find her at home late on Saturday and started searching. Meanwhile, he went to the pond behind the house and saw one of his 3-year-old twin children floating in the water and the other child was found underwater. Meanwhile, her husband and the family members rescued them and took them to the Kulaura Upazila Health Complex in the morning where the doctor on duty declared the two children dead.
Yunus Mia, the uncle of the two dead twins, said that suddenly my brother woke up and said that he could not find his children in the room. Later it was found that the mother had drowned her twins in the pond.
