Another win for Bangladesh HP team
Bangladesh’s wizard spinner Mohammad Rubel shone with the ball again. So, Bangladesh High Performance (HP) team are getting one win after another.
Rubel took five wickets while playing against Northern Territory in the Top End T20 series held in Darwin of Australia on Friday.
And Bangladesh HP team won by 3 wickets. With that, Bangladesh HP team have taken top position in the points table.
Coming to bat at the beginning of the match, Northern Territory scored 143 runs for 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, Bangladesh HP team reached the victory port making 144 with 10 balls and 3 wickets in hand. Bangladesh HP team lost seven wickets to reach the winning spot.
Bangladesh HP team are the top position of the points table with 10 points from 6 matches.
Irfan Sukkur has already secured a place in the top four. Meanwhile, Northern Territory are at the number four position with 6 points.
Adelaide Strikers Academy and Victoria Cricket Academy are at number two and number three position respectively with 8 points after playing five matches.
Northern Territory came out to bat at the start of the match in Darwin. The Australian club started losing wickets one after another from the starting of their innings. Only three managed to cross the quota of twenty.
Jordan Silk scored the highest 31 runs. Matt Hammond scored 26 runs. And 25 runs came from the bat of Cale McMahon.
Bangladesh’s most successful bowler was Mohammad Rubel. He captured the highest five wickets at the cost of just 21 runs. In addition, four bowlers took one wicket each.
In response to 144 runs, Ariful Haque gave a good start but returned to the dressing room with a controversial out. He scored 10 runs from 6 balls.
Another opener Habibur Rahman Sohan scored 22 runs from 18 balls. Shamim Patwary returned with only 11 runs.
Meanwhile, Sabbir Rahman continued to play on his own. He had a chance to score a half-century.
But he missed his fifty for 3 runs. Sabbir was out for 47 runs off 37 balls. Mehrab scored 8, Sukkur made 17 and Samiun Bashir scored 14 runs. Abdul Gaffar Saqlain remained unbeaten on 6 runs off 4 balls.
