DSA case against JNU student Khadiza, charge hearing Jan 28

The Dhaka Cyber Tribunal yesterday fixed January 28 for charge hearing in two cases filed against Jaganntah University student Khalizatul Kubra under the Digital Security Act.
Earlier, Thursday (September 30) was fixed for charge hearing in the case when lawyer of Khadiza sought charge hearing to be deferred. After hearing prosecution and defense the court fixed the new date for charge hearing in the case.
In October of 2020, Khadiza and retired Major Delwar Hossain were sued under the Digital Security Act.
Police filed two separate cases under DSA against them with Kalabagan Police Station and New Market Police Station in the capital on the charges of spreading anti-government comments and tarnishing the image of the country.
Of the two cases, one was filed by Sub-Inspector (SI) Khairul Islam of New Market Police Station while SI Arif Hossain of Kalabagan Police Station filed the other case.
