JUST VC congratulates President Mirza Fakhrul

Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Iarul Kabir has congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on assuming office as the newly elected President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

JUST Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Sheikh Mahmudul Hasan and Treasurer Professor Dr Mohammad Faruk Hasan also extended their congratulations and best wishes to the new President.

In a congratulatory message issued on Friday, August 21, the JUST Vice-Chancellor described Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir as an experienced, visionary and patriotic national leader whose long political career, wisdom and commitment to the people are widely recognised.

He said the appointment of an experienced personality as head of state at this critical and transitional time would help strengthen the country’s democratic process and play an important role in establishing the rule of law and good governance.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that Bangladesh’s higher education and research sectors would gain greater momentum under the new President’s leadership.

He also hoped that all public universities, including JUST, would reach new heights under the President’s guidance and patronage in building a modern, science- and technology-based and discrimination-free Bangladesh.

The JUST Vice-Chancellor wished President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir good health, long life and success, and prayed for the country’s overall welfare, peace and prosperity during his tenure.
