Maulana Bhasani’s 47th death anniv observed

The 47th death anniversary of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani, a legendary political leader of the nation, has been observed in Bangladesh with due respect.

Bhasani, popularly known as “Majlum Jananeta” (the leader of the downtrodden), passed away on November 17, 1976.
The day was celebrated in Tangail through various programs on Friday.

Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Farhad Hossain inaugurated the day’s program by paying tribute and placing flower wreaths at the Bhasani’s mazar.
