96 trainees receive NSDA certificates
A total of 96 trainees received certificates from the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) after successfully completing training and passing the final assessment at Al-Markazul Islami Skill Development Institute.
The certificate distribution ceremony was held at the institute’s premises in Mohammadpur on Tuesday, with trainees from four batches receiving their NSDA certificates after completing three-month training courses.
The trainees successfully completed courses in General Caregiving, Level 2; Caregiving for Elderly Person, Level 3; Caregiving for Infant, Toddler and Children, Level 3; and Caregiving for Persons with Special Needs, Level 3.
Chairman of Al-Markazul Islami, Sheikh Hamza Shahidul Islam, presided over the ceremony.
Senior General Manager of the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) Ziauddin Iqbal, Deputy Managing Director of PKSF Hasan Khaled, Japanese freelance consultant Taisuke Tokuoka, AMI adviser Alhaj Halimuzzaman, AMI Skill adviser Dewan Kamruzzaman, The New Nation Senior Staff Reporter Al Mamun Harun Ur Rashid and trainer Sajib Uddin attended the programme, among others.
Officials, trainers, trainees and other stakeholders of the institute were also present.
AMI Skill Development Institute manager Nazmul Hasan Sakib moderated the programme.
Speakers at the event said there was no alternative to vocational and technical training for transforming the country’s young population into skilled and productive human resources.
They said the skills acquired through training could help young people secure employment as well as create opportunities for self-employment.
The speakers urged the newly certified trainees to apply their skills in the workplace and contribute to their own development as well as the country’s economic progress.
The trainees expressed satisfaction and enthusiasm while receiving their certificates. Several successful trainees also shared their experiences during the training, the skills they had acquired and their future plans.
The organisers said AMI Skill Development Institute, operated by Al-Markazul Islami, is an NSDA-approved training institution. It regularly conducts training programmes aimed at creating employment and self-employment opportunities for young people through skills development.
The programme concluded with a prayer seeking the bright future of the trainees and the welfare of the country and its people, followed by a group photograph involving guests, trainers and trainees.
