DU students visit BARI

A team of 53 (fifty three) teachers and student from Dhaka University’s Institute of Statistical Research and Training visit Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) on Tuesday.
BARI scientists and officers welcomed DU delegation at the time of their arrival in the institute. BARI Director General Dr. Debasish Sarker gave a welcome address at DG’s conference room. Professor, Applied Statistics, Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT) Dr. AHM Mahbub Latif and Professor, Applied Statistics, Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT) M. Shafiqur Rahman were present on the occasion.
After that, the teachers and students participated in the public awareness program held at the BARI’s Seminar Room to increase public awareness about the Right to Information Act and its regulations. Chief Scientific Officer (ASICT) Dr. Md. Abdul Monayem Miah and Scientific Officer (ASICT) Kazi Saidur Rahman gave a briefing on the activities and success of Agricultural Statistics Information and Communication Technology Division on the occasion. The team was coordinated by Senior Scientific Officer of Training and Communication Wing Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman.
