Riaz interested to make movies in his own production
Entertainment Report :
Riaz, the popular hero of Bangladeshi films, is
currently working on Channel i’s OTT platform, iScreen. Basically iScreen is moving forward under his direction. He is giving opportunities to
talented directors to work on this platform.
Like many artistes, Riaz has a dream to make a movie himself. But it was not the right time to make that movie, he said.
While talking in this regard, Riaz told this correspondent, “To be honest, I am interested in making a movie. But I am not interested in making movies under others’ productions because I will make the movie but after that I can’t guarantee to return the money. So, if I can’t give that guarantee, then I will make my debut as a movie director with my own produced movie. Then I will not have any pressure. I can do the work as I like. It is sure that there will be patriotism in this movie, there will be stories of common people’s lives. Let’s see when that time actually comes. But it is true that I am dreaming of making movies.”
After joining iScreen, Riaz is busy with how to make the platform more acceptable to the audience. So for now he is not able to give time to acting.
In response to the question whether he will act if he gets a good story, Riaz said, “I have no definition of a good story. But I want to act in a good movie, I will do it. I have been wanting to act in a really good movie for a long time. The audience can understand what kind of good movie I want to act. No guest appearances. I said more clearly. If I like it, I will do it. But for now I want to fulfill the responsibility assigned to me properly.”
Riaz also said that he has also acted in many dramas besides acting in the movies ‘Daruchini Dwip’, ‘Shasti’, and ‘Suva’ produced by Channel i.
Meanwhile, Riaz remembers actress Babita, actor Jasim, director Dilip Biswas, Motin Rahman, Motiur Rahman Panu, Mohammad Hannan, Humayun Ahmed, Jakir Hossain Razu, and his co-stars with gratitude and respect behind the scenes in his position today. Riaz informed that iScreen is an audience of a certain age. He is trying to develop the iScreen not for a specific audience but for the general public.
