Humayun Ahmed’s birthday special single drama ‘Ami Humayun Ahmed Hote Chai’

Coming November 13 is the birthday of Humayun Ahmed, a novelist, short story writer, playwright, lyricist,
and screenwriter and filmmaker of Bangladesh. He is one of the Bengali fiction writers of the 20th century.
He is considered one of the best and most popular writers after the independence of Bangladesh. He is the father of the new style of dialogue
in Bengali spoken literature.
On the other hand, he is the pioneer of modern Bengali science fiction.
He is also appreciated as a drama and film director.
On the occasion of Humayun Ahmed’s birthday, the talented
director Salahuddin Lavlu has
produced a drama titled ‘Ami Humayun Ahmed Hote Chai’. Razia Sultana Jeni has written the drama.
In the meantime, the work of the drama has been completed in
various locations including
Uttara of the capital.
On the birthday of Humayun Ahmed on November 13, the drama will be aired on Channel i at 9:30pm.
While talking about the drama, its director Salauddin Lavlu told this
correspondent, “The only child of a bigoted father. Humayun Ahmed’s name is similar to his own name.
Even the names of his parents are similar to those of Humayun
Ahmed’s parents. So, he really
wants to be Humayun Ahmed. But Humayun cannot become Ahmed if he is with parents. With this thought,
he started living alone in the capital Mohammadpur in poverty. Let’s move on to the story. Junayed Bogdadi played the role of Humayun Ahmed and Ria played the role of Gultekin in this drama. Both of them have acted very well in their respective roles.”
Dolly Zahur will be seen in the role of Humayun Ahmed’s mother in the drama and Shilpi Sarkar Apu will be seen in the role of Gultekin’s mother.
While sharing her feelings to act in this drama, noted actress Dolly Zahur told this correspondent, “I like the story of this drama. And Lavlu
works with great care. I hope the audience will like the drama.”
Noted actress Shilpi Sarkar Apu said, “I like to work if the story is good. Salahuddin Lavlu is a talented director of this country. His work is something like something that the audience likes and is educational.”
Roshan, the son of Salauddin
Lavlu, played the role of Gultekin’s
younger brother in the drama. Roshni played another role.
It is noted that Salahuddin Lavlu’s son Roshan made his first acting debut when he was in Class-IV. Last year,
he acted in another part of the drama directed by his father.
