Shajal and Rodela under Mir Sabbir’s direction

Popular TV actor Abdun Noor Shajal acted in a drama for the first time under the direction of the popular actor, playwright and storyteller Mir Sabbir who won the National Film Award.

Newcomer Rodela Mirza acted opposite Shajal in this drama titled ‘Bitter Sweet’.

The drama is written by Abir Ferdous. Earlier, Shajal acted in various dramas with Mir Sabbir, but this is the first time that Shajal acted in a drama directed by Sabbir.

On the other hand, the same is true for Rodela Mirza. After getting Mir Sabbir as a co-artiste in a few dramas, Rodela was taken in this part of the drama mainly because of Mir Sabbir’s interest.

In the meantime, the work of shooting the drama has been completed in various locations of Uttara in the capital. However, Mir Sabbir did not
act in this drama.

Director Mir Sabbir informed that the drama will soon be released on a satellite channel, then on a YouTube channel.

While talking about the drama, Mir Sabbir told this correspondent, “I am basically an actor but I enjoy directing a lot.

Just like that I did an enjoyable job with Shajal and Rodela. Shajal is undoubtedly a very good actor.

He was taken in the drama because of the need of the story. And Rodela has done
quite well in acting as a newcomer. We have to give opportunity to the
newcomers. The future of Rodela seems to me to be quite bright.”

Actor Shajal shared his feelings by this way, “As an actor, Mir Sabbir Bhai is incomparable.

But I think he is much stronger in direction. He is such a director who can guide in every detail, which makes it much easier for an artiste to act. Rodela has done well as a newcomer in this drama.”

Actress Rodela Mirza told this correspondent, “After doing two consecutive works with Mir Sabbir Bhai, I got the opportunity to work in this drama due to his interest.

Direction of Mir Sabbir Bhai and got Shajal Bhai as a co-artiste in the same drama – I feel very lucky to have both. I am thankful to Mir Sabbir Bhai for giving me this opportunity.

I tried to portray my character properly in the drama. Only the audience can tell how much I did.”

Hailed from Bhola, Rodela Mirza completed her honours and master
from Mohammadpur Central College in Dhaka. Her birthday is on May 10.

On the other hand, Shajal starrer was the last talked about movie was Hridi Haq directed ‘1971 Sei Shob Din’.
