‘Renovating CCC’s Health Deptt’

Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury commented that the health department of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) is being revamped to improve the quality of public health in the city.

Last Thursday in the chief guest’s speech at CCCs doctors’ coordination meeting, the mayor said, “As the only city corporation in Bangladesh, we provide health and education services.

Immediately after taking charge as mayor, I took steps to organize the health department.

The CCC’s health department has played an important role in combating the corona epidemic, vaccination programs and the recent dengue outbreak.

Initiatives have already been taken to make doctors permanent. My aim is to modernize and expand the health department of CCC.”

In the speech, chief health officer Salim Akhtar Chowdhury said that although CCC plays an important role in the health care of Chattogram, because the jobs of many doctors are not permanent, talented doctors are not joining CCC or even if they join, they are leaving their jobs.

And those who are are also suffering from inferiority complex. He called for the permanent employment of temporary doctors.
