Nat’l Poet’s death anniv observed in Barishal

The 47th death anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam was observed in Barishal calling to more study and research on National Poet.

Nazrul Cultural Association organized the programme on Sunday was held at Ashwini Kumar Hall with discussion, recitation of poetry and performing cultural programme with Nazrul Sangeet.

President of Nazrul Sanstik Jot Papia Jasmin presided over the programme, while deputy commissioner of Barishal Shahidul Islam was the chief guest Poet Tapankar Chakraborty was the keynote speaker.

Among others, Sheikh Naser Jamal, the General Secretary of the organization, ShuvankarChakraborty, Snehanshu Kumar Biswas, president and secretary of the cultural organization coordination council, respectively spoke.

They said that Nazrul’s literary work is not for any particular community, but for all mankind.

If we follow Nazrul’s literary works, we will be freed from ignorance and dogma.
