Ethics Education Workbook distributed

Ethics Education for Sustainable Development (E2SD) has distributed ‘Ethics Education Workbook’ in two educational institutions of the capital. On Thursday, the officials of E2SD handed over the book to the students of Tejgaon Government High School and Government Science High School. Former Additional Secretary of Environment Ministry Mahmud Hasan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of E2SD Kazi Ali Reza, Principal of Tejgaon Government High School Shahreen Khan Rupa and Principal of Government Science High School Rahima Akhter spoke in separate programs organized on this occasion in two schools, says a press release.
Mahmud Hasan said to the students, ‘Parents and teachers want their children to be bigger than them. You have to follow the path of morality and fulfill their desire and take control of the society.
Kazi Ali Reza in his speech imparted basic idea about ethics and urged the students to present themselves as role models in the society.
He also said, to make ethics education teaching more effective, this workbook will be distributed free of cost to the students. The book contains thematic ideas, list of ethical and unethical tasks, opinions, actions and plans on establishing good and resisting evil.
The headmasters of the two schools thanked E2SD for taking this initiative for the welfare of the students of their institution.
The book will also be distributed to at least 16 other institutions. Incidentally, E2SD has planned to conduct a practical class on teaching ethics and its practice in daily life with eighth, ninth and tenth grade students this year in about 18 schools of the capital. For this purpose, a ‘Teacher Training on Ethics Education’ was organized recently with 40 teachers.
