Mustafiz bags 100 wickets in T20I cricket

Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman bagged 100 wickets in Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket on Tuesday. The ‘Cutter Master’ reached his 100-wicket landmark against England in their third T20I match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur. Mustafiz earned this feat playing 81 T20I matches. He reached the 100-wicket landmark after Dawid Malan was caught behind by wicketkeeper Litton Das off the left-arm pacer. Mustafiz made his debut in 2025. But Mustafizur Rahman was off-form for some days. Mustafiz failed to show satisfactory performance against England in the recently concluded three-match One Day International (ODI) series. But Mustafiz performed well in the T20I series against England.
Mustafiz is the second Bangladesh bowler, who captured 100 wickets in T20I cricket. Shakib Al Hasan is the highest wicket taker for Bangladesh in T20I cricket. He claimed 131 wickets playing 113 T20I matches. Shakib reached the 100-wicket landmark playing 84 T20I cricket matches. Mustafizur Rahman is the 6th bowler, who captured 100 wickets in T20I cricket.
Afghan spinner Rashid Khan captured 100 wickets in T20I cricket playing just 53 T20I matches.
New Zealand pacer Tim Southee is now the highest wicket taker in T20I cricket He claimed 134 wickets playing 107 T20I matches. Shakib Al Hasan has taken the second position as a highest wicket taker in T20I cricket. Rashid Khan has achieved the third spot capturing 126 wickets playing 77 T20I games. Ish Sodhi of New Zealand has earned the fourth position bagging 114 wickets.
On the other hand, Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga was fifth position in T20I cricket grabbing 107 wickets. He played 84 T20I matches to earn the achievement. Mustafizur Rahman has taken sixth position in T20I cricket.
