Bangladesh’s Fortis Football Club (FC) have made it to the main stage of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge League by defeating Kyrgyzstan’s Muras United.

The main stage draw was held on Thursday. There, the team of Pa Omar-Ibrahim have been placed in the same group with clubs from India, Kuwait and Tajikistan.

In the draw held in Malaysia, Fortis FC have got a place in the group of Kuwait’s Qadsia Sporting Club, India’s Football Club (FC) Goa and Tajikistan’s Regar-TadAZ Tursunzoda.

The group stage matches will be held in Kuwait. The matches will be held from October 17 to 23.

The three group champions and the three best runners-up team in the West Zone will go to the next stage.

And the champions and runners-up of the two groups from the East Zone will play in the next round.

Meanwhile, Head Coach of Fortis FC’s Masud Parvez Kaiser’s team are planning to bring in new players to strengthen their squad in the competition. Fortis FC are especially looking for a foreign striker.

They could not score more than one goal despite creating multiple chances against Muras United. Therefore, the team feels the need to add an effective ‘number nine’ in the attack.
