Midland Bank, SahajMobile sign agreement
Midland Bank PLC and SahajMobile BD Limited have signed an agreement to facilitate customers in purchasing mobile devices from designated SahajMobile partner merchant points through Midland Bank’s e-Loan facility, according to a press release Wednesday.
The agreement was signed on Monday, in the presence of Imtiaz U Ahmed, Managing Director of Midland Bank, at a ceremony attended by officials from both organisations.
Mohammad Rashadul Anwar, Coordinator, Retail Distribution Division and Head of Public Relations Division of Midland Bank, and Abu Al Motalib, Director of SahajMobile BD Limited, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under the agreement, eligible customers will be able to purchase mobile devices from designated SahajMobile partner merchant points by availing themselves of Midland Bank’s e-Loan facility, subject to the bank’s applicable terms, conditions and approval process.
The initiative is intended to provide customers with a convenient financing option for purchasing mobile devices and contribute to wider adoption of digital financial services.
By combining Midland Bank’s digital lending facility with SahajMobile’s merchant network, the partnership is expected to expand access to financing options for customers and provide greater convenience in meeting their mobile device needs.
The initiative is also part of Midland Bank’s efforts to strengthen its digital lending services and introduce customer-focused financial solutions through technology-driven banking services.
Khondoker Imran Hossain, Manager, Project, Process, Product Development, Retail Distribution Division of Midland Bank; Rajib Kundu, Senior Manager of SahajMobile BD Limited; and Rokibul Hossain, Head of Accounts of SahajMobile BD Limited, along with other officials from both organisations, were also present at the signing ceremony.
