Constable held for raping college student

A police constable has been arrested in a case filed for allegedly raping a college student at Chunarughat upazila in Habiganj.
The arrestee has been identified as Shiblu Mia, police constable, son of one Ramij Ullah of Dudhpatil village in Chunarughat upazila. He is posted at Sylhet Police Lines. Priyatosh Das, Sub-inspector (SI) of Chunarughat Police Station, confirmed the matter to the journalist on Monday (February 20). Shiblu was handed over to a Habiganj court after he was arrested from Sylhet yesterday, said SI Priyatosh.
Earlier on February 15, father of the victim filed a case against constable Shiblu for allegedly raping his college going daughters.
