BELA’s Rizwana Hasan car under attack in Chattogram

The Bangladesh Environment Lawyers Association’s (BELA) chief executive Syeda Rizwana Hasan’s car has under attack in chattogram Akbarshar area on Thursday.
The allegation was raised against Chattogram City Corporation’s (CCC) Ward no nine counsilor Jahural Alam alias Jasim and his supporters.
In the allegation it was said that a BELA team headed by Rizwana Hasan went to lake city residential area to see a hill which already destroyed. During their visit a group of people led by councilor Jasim attacks their transports and misbehave with them and journalists.
Before that the guns stop their motorcade and later police rescued them.
On the issue Rizwana Hasan said we have left the spot immediately without visit the area due to their aggressive behavior. We were waiting in front of a tea stall at Bayazid link road area seeing few young men with arms were moving around us.
She said our drive phone us that few people stuck our cars at lake city gate area. Later we informed the police officials and they rescued the car.
