Special honour for Rani Mukherjee

Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee has been honoured with a special award.
The actress received the ‘Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award’ at the 62nd Maharashtra State Film Awards ceremony.

She was given this special award in recognition of her contribution to Indian cinema over nearly three decades. Rani attended the grand event in Mumbai in traditional attire.

She looked stunning in a green, red-bordered saree, with a garland on her head and a mangalsutra around her neck.

After receiving the award, the actress surprised everyone present by getting up on stage and delivering her entire speech in Marathi.

In her speech, Rani referred to Mumbai as her birthplace and the foundation of her career.

She said the city has taught her many important lessons in life and film, including how to deal with success and failure.
