SAFF Women’s Champ winner Sirat Jahan receives Tk 4.5 lakh

A check of Tk 4.5 lakh was handed over to footballer Sirat Jahan, a member of Bangladesh Women’s Football team, the winners of SAFF Women’s Championship, in Rangpur on Thursday afternoon. Rangpur District Administration, Rangpur Football Association, Rangpur Divisional Sports Association, Rangpur City Corporation, Rangpur District Women’s Sports Association and Rangpur District Sports Association accorded a reception at the Sheikh Russel Mini Stadium and arranged a friendly football match between Greater Rangpur vs Greater Dinajpur teams. Swapna Rani and Sohagi Kisku of Bangladesh Women’s Football team were given Tk 50 thousand each.
Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md. Sabirul Islam was present as the chief guest in the event. Rangpur City Corporation Mayor Md. Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa was present as guest of honor, Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur Md. Asib Ahsan presided over the occasion. Superintendent of Police of Rangpur Md. Ferdous Ali was present as the special guest. Rangpur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Noor Nahar Begum and Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Nasima Zaman and District Sports Association General Secretary Advocate Anwarul Islam were also present.
In addition, public representatives, representatives of various government and private departments, political leaders, journalists, representatives of socio-cultural organizations, representatives of sports organizations, students of various schools and colleges participated.
