HJKP demands immediate operation of Hajj Office
Chattogram Bureau :
A meeting of the Chattogram based Hajj Jatri Kaylan Parishad duly presided by its President Ahmedul Islam Chowdhury demanded immediate operation of the existing Pahartali Haji camp in city for the welfare of the thousands of hajj pilgrims of greater Chattogram . The meeting of HJKP was held at a city posh hotel on April 25 evening .
The chief guest on the occasion and secretary general o f HJKP Principal Dr.Abdul Karim delivered address of welcome in it. The speakers in the meeting said this existing Hajj camp may be used as sub-Hajj office for Chattogram zone . In the meantime , Prim e Minister Shekh Hasina in an official circular asked the concerned authorities to sustain the century old Haji camp of Chattogram after due renovations of the existing buildings.
The speakers in the meeting urged the Prime Minister for interventioning the matter to help facilitate the immediate operation of Haji camp before the flights of pilgrims from this season . Dr.Saleh Ahmed Suleman conducted the meeting as moderator . Meanwhile open Hajj pilgrims training program for current season will be held at Rima Convention centre in city from 9 am on July7 next , HJKP sources said.
