1 kg gold seized in Satkhira
UNB, Satkhira :
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered one kilogram of gold while the item was being smuggled to India through the bordering area at Goyra Bazar in Kalaroa upazila on Thursday night.
Acting on secret information, a team of BGB-38 led
by Nayek Subedar Nurul Islam conducted a drive in Goyra Bazar area and recovered the one kg gold, kept in a bag at about 10:30 pm, said BGB-38 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Shahjahan Siraj.
BGB could not arrest anyone as the smugglers managed to flee sensing the presence of the border guards.
