No hurry over EC formulation law: Minister
UNB, Dhaka :
Noting that the law for formation of the Election Commission will have a far-reaching impact, Law Minister Anisul Huq on Thursday said it should not be enacted hurriedly.
I think this law can’t be enacted hurriedly as it has a far-reaching effect. I’m waiting for the President’s directives in this regard, he said.
The minister was talking to reporters after inaugurating a training course on e-procurement for the lower court judges at the
Judicial Administration Training Institute in the city, said a Law Ministry release.
Anisul also said the government has attached importance to training for the judges so that they do not lag behind the best judiciaries of the world and so that they do not suffer from the sense of inferiority.
Asked abut the executive’s ‘conflict’ with the judiciary over the relocation of the International Crimes Tribunal from the old High Court building, he said there is no conflict. Talks are on in this regard, and I hope the tribunal will have not to be relocated, he said.
