District police arrest 3 with drugs

Three drug dealers, including a woman, were arrested in an anti-drug operation by Magura District police. During this time, 8,000 pieces of Yaba, 3.48 lakh taka in cash, a motorcycle and 3 mobile phones were recovered from them.

A press conference was held at the district police hall on Tuesday , organised by the Magura District Police. Magura Police Super Molla Azad Hossain PPM (Service) told reporters at the press conference on Tuesday, Magura District Police arrested drug lords Shahin Alam, Sathi Khatun and Khalid Hasan from Kashinathpur village of Magura Sadar Municipality Ward No. 1.

At that time, 8,000 pieces of Yaba with an estimated market value of about 40 lakh taka, cash of 348 thousand taka, a Discovery motorcycle and 3 mobile phones were recovered from their house. The arrested drug dealers gave important information during interrogation.

They are members of an organized drug trafficking group. They had been secretly running the drug trade for a long time.

They used to bring drugs from the border and sell them to drug dealers in Magura and neighboring districts.

There are 6 cases against the arrested drug lord Shahin Alam, including robbery and drugs, and two drug cases against the accused drug dealer Sathi Khatun. Legal action is being taken against the arrested accused according to the Narcotics Control Act-2026.

The District Police Superintendent further said that Magura District Police has always been professionally responsible for public safety, protecting human rights and suppressing crime.

The Magura District Police will continue its aggressive campaign against all criminal activities including gambling, drugs, and terrorist activities.
