Father confesses killing of 7- yr son in Jhenaidah

A father confessed that he killed his seven year old son on November 15. The police arrested the father and sent him to a Jhenaidah court on Monday.
Kaliganj police SI and investigation officer Sukumar Kundu said, Ashraful Islam of Rampur village of Kastobhanga union in Kaliganj killed his seven year old son Saju Hossain on November 15. The father filed a murder case four persons including his neighbor Rabiul Islam.
When the police started investigation the petitioner (Ashraful) was reportedly not showing interest in co-operating the policemen. The police during the investigation interrogated Asharaful and at one stage he confessed that he had killed the son to give lesson to Rabiul and his wife.
 Policeman said, Ashraful got anger when his wife developed an illicit relation with the neighbor Rabiul 3 years back. Further, the village leaders penalled Taka 20 thousand to Ashraful in a fake allegation brought against him. This sort of activities led Ashraful to take revenge and killed his son to punish Rabuiul and his wife.
