Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad
A rally organised by Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad was held in front of Jatiya Press club on Saturday. In the rally the speakers demanded exemplary punishment to the culprits who are involved in brutal killing of Hindu priest of Santo Gourio Math of Debiganj upazila in Panchagarh district Jaggeshwar Roy. The rally was addressed, among others, by Acting President of the organisation Jayanta Sen Dipu, former Bangladesh envoy to Nepal Dr Nim Chandra Bhoumik and other leaders of the parishad including Milon Kanti Dutta, Jayanta Kumar Dev and Advocate Taposh Kumar Pal. The leaders urged the government to take necessary steps to ensure security of the people of religious minority.

President of Bangladesh Awami Swechchasebak League (ASL) Advocate Mollah Md Abu Kawser has called upon leaders and workers of ASL for strengthening the hands of Awami League (AL) President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to further accelerate national development. ASL President said this yesterday while addressing a workers’ meeting of the Rangpur district and city units of ASL at Rangpur Circuit House auditorium as the chief guest. Hundreds of the leaders and activists of the district and city units of ASL brought out a huge motorcycle procession in the city streets welcoming Mollah Md Abu Kawser on his arrival at the divisional city.
