RANGUNIA, CHATTOGRAM: Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud from Chattogram- 7 (Rangunia, Boalkhali partial) constituency wins by a large margin in the 12th National Parliament election. He was elected to Parliament for the fourth consecutive time from this seat by getting 1 lakh 98 thousand 976 votes in the boat symbol. His closest rival is the Islamic Front Adv. Iqbal Hasan got 8 thousand 767 votes in candle symbol. Apart from the presence of voters, there was a festive atmosphere in the center since the morning of the polling day.

CHAPAINABABGANJ: Simanta Paribar Kallyan Samity (SPKS), an organisation of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) distributed blankets among 100 cold-hit people of Chapainawabganj recently. A simple function was arranged at the battalion headquarters of Chapainawabganj battalion (53 BGB) in Chapainawabganj on the occasion. Vice-president of SPKS, Rajshahi sub unit Tania Nur, general secretary Nahida Yasmin Popy and treasurer of Chapainawabganj sub unit Shanta Khatun were present during the distribution.

RANGPUR: Bangladesh Ex-Cadets Association, Rangpur unit distributes winter clothes in the city on Tuesday afternoon. Hundreds of blankets were distributed among cold-hit people with the presence of its Rangpur Unit President Md. Rockibus Sultan Manik, General Secretary Rezaul Haque Reza, Joint Secretary Abdul Malek, Executive Member Mahbubul Haque Prince, Publicity Secretary Abdur Rahman Mintu and other executive committee members.

GOPALGANJ: Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Md. Nasiruzzaman pays tributes with a floral bouquet at the shrine of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and prayed for his departed soul at Tungipara of Gopalgonj on Tuesday. He joined as Chairman for 2nd term on Monday for 3 years. The General Manager of Faridpur Division Golam Mahbub, CRM of Gopalgonj and Foridpur region along with other officers and staffs were present on the occasion.
