AL gets MP without boat after 50 years from Bagura-3

Khan Muhammad Saifullah Al Mehdi Badhan (35), the newly-elected Member of Parliament Truck Marker, has ended the 50-year wait of Awami League in Bogra-3 (Adamdighi-Dupchachia) constituency.

He is the elder son of Adamdighi Upazila Awami League President and former Upazila Parishad Chairman Sirajul Islam Khan Raju, who withdrew the boat’s nomination. He is the youth and sports affairs secretary of this upazila Awami League.

In the 12th National Parliament election held on January 7/2024, a total of 16 people including him collected party and independent nominations in this seat.

Bogra District Returning Officer canceled the nomination of the newly elected Member of Parliament during the scrutiny of nominations.

Later he appealed to the Election Commission.

His nomination was withdrawn on appeal.

Finally, he was unofficially elected by getting 69 thousand 750 votes in the truck symbol as an independent candidate in a free, impartial and fair and peaceful election.
