Barisal declare 1st innings at 527/9 against Sylhet

Mosaddek Hossain’s unbeaten double century guided Barisal Division to mount 527/9 declared the first innings against Sylhet Division in the second day’s play of the 17th National Cricket League 2nd round tier-2 match at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Sunday.
In reply, Sylhet Division opened the first innings on the second day and were 112/0 at stumps with 10 wickets in hand to trail by 415 runs.
In tier-1 league match at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Mohammad Mithun’s painstaking century of 186 runs helped Khulna Division to score 455 runs in the first innings while Dhaka Metro trailed by 377 runs with 6 wickets at the end of the day.
In the another tier-1 match, Dhaka Division scored 449 runs in the first innings with Nadif Chowdhury’s century of 111 runs and in reply Rangpur Division scored 98 runs for 3 in 39 overs with opener Liton Kumar Das 51.
At Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi, Chittagong Division lead by 75 runs against first innings Rajshahi Division in their tier-2 match on the second day.
Barisal vs Sylhet
Resuming the first innings with overnight score of 295 for 5 in 69 overs, Barisal Division declared the innings after mounting a decent score of 527 in 126.1 overs.
Mosaddek Hossain’s unbeaten double century of 200 runs off 245 balls involved 15 boundaries and seven sixes.
Number eight batsman Salman Hossain (22 off 39b; 3×4, 1×6), Monir Hossain (19 off 30b; 2×4, 1×6) and skipper Kamrul Islam Rabbi (16 off 56b; 2×4) could managed double figures for the side on the second day.
Abul Hasan and Enamul Haque (Jnr) grabbed three wickets each in the first innings for the side conceding 45 and 110 runs respectively. Rahatul Ferdous took two wickets for 132 runs while Sadiqur Rahman took the other wicket for 76 runs.
Sylhet Division opened the first innings and at stumps scoring 112 for no loss in 40 overs, riding on an unbeaten opening stand between Shanaj Ahmed and Imtiaz Hossain.
Shanaj Ahmed hit his fifty plus scoring 58 runs off 126 balls with eight fours and one six while Imtiaz Hossain’s 51 off 114 involved seven fours.

Khulna Division resumed the first innings with overnight score of 227 for 5 in 58.1 overs and raised the tally to 455 in 112.1 overs.
Overnight batsman Mohammad Mithun’s century of 186 runs off 270 balls involved 24 boundaries.
Mehedi Hasan Miraz scored 67 runs off 91 balls with 13 fours while skipper Abdur Razzak scored 46 off 62 balls with five fours and three six.
Mohammad Shahid was successful claiming four wickets for 84 runs while Sharifullah and Abu Hider took two wickets each in the first innings.
Opening the first innings Dhaka Metro scored 78 runs for 4, at stumps, in 30.1 overs.
Marshall Ayub and Asif Ahmed were batting on scoring 27 and 25 runs respectively when the bails were drawn for the secnd day.
Mustafizur Rahman grabbed all three wickets for 19 runs for the side.

Dhaka Division resumed the first innings with overnight score of 265 for 6 in 90 overs and finished the innings at 449 in 138.3 overs with Nadif Chowdhury’s century.
Overnight Nadif’s century of 111 runs came off 187 balls involving 11 boundaries and one six.
Mosharraf Hossain scored 36 runs off 82 balls with four fours while another overnight Saghir Hossain and skipper Mohammad Sharif added 31 and 30 runs respectively.
Tanveer Haider grabbed four wickets for 62 runs while Suhrawadi Shuvo claimed three wickets for 120 runs. Sajedul Islam took two wickets for 80 runs.
In reply, Rangpur Division opened the first innings on the day and scored 98 runs for 3, at stumps, in 39 overs with opener Liton Kumar Das 51 runs.
Tanveer Haider and Nasir Hossain were batting on scoring 17 and 11 runs respectively when the bails were drawn for the second day.
Mosharraf Hossain captured all three wickets for the side conceding 33 runs.

Chittagong Division resumed the first innings with overnight 346 for 8 in 88 overs and scored 383 for all in 95.3 overs.
Overnight batsman Mohammad Saifuddin scoring 78 runs off 102 balls involved 11 fours and one six while there was no other double digit scorers for the side on the second day.
Shafaq Al Zabir and Muktar Ali grabbed three wickets each in the first innings for 53 and 75 runs respectively. Taijul Islam took two wickets for 89 runs. In reply, Rajshahi opened the first innings and were bundled out for 308 runs in 71.4 overs.
Skipper Junaid Siddique scored team highest 81 runs off 80 balls with 10 fours and two sixes while Farhad Hossain scored 69 runs off 127 balls with 11 fours. Nazmul Hossain Shanto was the other notable contributor for the side scoring 61 runs off 84 balls with 10 fours.
Jubair Hossain captured four wickets for 104 runs while Nabil Samad bagged three wickets for 50 runs in the first innings.
