Reform Sylhet Stadium

Football has returned in Bangladesh. The jam-packed Sylhet Stadium and the crowds’ jubilation are the best evidence thereof. When there is no spectator in Dhaka, the picture in Sylhet is different – an oasis in the desert.
Crowds are life of soccer. Players get inspiration at the crowd’s presence, feel bravery and deliver their best. That is why FIFA imposes condition of full gallery during any international football match, particularly during the World Cup. The Sylhet Stadium can, perhaps give that guarantee. But the Stadium’s capacity is 25,000 only. Plan should be undertaken to reform the stadium in order to earn the capacity of staging at least the Asia Cup Football qualification matches which have already begun.
May we request the Ministry Of Sports and the Finance Minister in particular, who hails from Sylhet and also represents that constituency in the parliament’ to take the initiative soon?

Namaj helps treatment of orthopedic problems

On Friday midnight, I was watching a TV programme on health, which opened a new window for me and also for those who did not watch it. The subject matter was ‘pain and cure’. The doctor of the programme said, those, who suffer from neck, waist and shoulder pain, must not prostrate on the table, sitting on the chair, while offering Namaj (Prayers). Any man practicing it may become paralysed and there is possibility that his neck may become sultry if not paralysed.
The doctor has advised us to offer prayers as per rules and practical demonstrations as dictated by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SM). Anyone suffering from pain will not face any adverse impact; rather, he will be cured gradually, if he/she wishes offers prayers in prescribed way of doing it.
He said, it is a very bad thing that we change our religious customs as if we knew better than the Holy Prophet. Thus, it proves that the ‘doables’ in offering ‘namaz’ (prayer) has evidently enriched the treatment process/procedures of orthopedic disease/disorders in a more scientific manner. This medical suggestions should be followed to avoid/resolve the on-going controversy over the use of chair while praying ¾ be that at home or at the mosque.
