Adib becomes runner-up in int’l arithmetic competition

Sharif Adibur, a class five student of European Standard School in city’s Dhanmondi area, won first runner-up award in the International Abacus and Mental Higher Arithmetic Competition-2015.
The arithmetic competition was held in Manila, the Philippines on July 26, 2015, and nearly 50,000 students from 32 countries including Bangladesh, India, USA, UK, China and Russia participated, a press release said here yesterday.
Adib was born at Merigopinathpur village of Gopalganj district. He is the son of former judge Shariph Lutfar Rahman.
